But wait, this is the year of the Monkey, ever full of surprises. And no other Chinese establishment in metairie or new orleans can even hold a Roman candle to Hot Wok's quality of food and service. This well-oiled machine has crafted several dishes that appeal to meat-lovers, the health-conscious, and those that merely need some deep fried delicacy with more appendages than I'd care to count. Perhaps the best aspect of this place is the sheer lack of puns relating to the word "wok". I count my blessings each time I enter this food haven, thankful that only once have I ever had the displeasure of encountering a disgruntled employee who was reticent to state that they were not in fact ready to "wok me like a hurricane".August 16, 2016
